US: Gun violence victims on life after the bullet (1) The scourge of gun violence in the US kills 36,000 Americans a year, and hundreds more are shot and wounded daily in the most-heavily armed country in the world. AFP spoke to some of the victims -- of mass shootings, and just everyday arguments that go awry - on how their lives were changed forever when they ended up on the wrong end of a gun barrel.
