French sports minister wants action after ex-coach admits to sexually abusing young skater French sports minister Roxana Maracineanu calls on the president of France's ice sports federation, Didier Gailhaguet, to "take responsibility" following accusations that a former coach, Gilles Beyer, sexually assaulted ex-figure skater Sarah Abitbol when she was in her early teens. Abitbol made the allegations in a recently-published book. Beyer, 62, has since admitted to having "intimate and inappropriate relations" with Abitbol while he was her coach. Gailhauguet is being called to account because he kept Beyer in his post at the start of the 2000s, despite the coach becoming subject to a police investigation.
