Description
Paris posters remember Jewish children deported during Second World War In Paris, activists from the Union of Jewish Students of France put up several thousand posters on the doors of buildings in memory of the 6,000 Jewish children of Paris deported during the Second World War, between 1942 and 1944. The gesture was timed to coincide with the 75th anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz-Birkenau, the largest of Nazi Germany's camps that has come to symbolise the six million European Jews who died in the Holocaust.
