Description
SWIMMER JUST MISSES MARK Isaac Papke; a 39-year-old grandfather attempts a 29 ¾-mile swim from the Farallone Island to a Beach near San Francisco's Golden Gate. He almost makes it; but at the end of 15 hours; he has to give up just 2 ½ miles from his goal.
