Irish Foreign Minister Simon Coveney says that the Republic is supporting a British bid to extend a post-Brexit trade deadline with the EU, part of a simmering row which has been dubbed a "sausage war". At the end of this month a post-Brexit grace period allowing the import of chilled meats into Northern Ireland is due to expire.
