Russia was suspended for four years from major world competitions by the World Anti Doping Agency (WADA), a penalty reduced at the end of 2020 by the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS), even though many voices in the field were calling for Russia to be excluded outright. As things stand, Russia's anthem, flag and even the country's name is banned from from major international sporting events until December 2022. However, Russia's Olympic Committee (ROC) recently approved a roster of 335 athletes who will compete at the Tokyo Olympics under a neutral flag and anthem. IMAGES
