The head of the body in charge of writing Chile’s new constitution and member of the Mapuche indigenous community, Elisa Loncon, says they are working to "guarantee social rights for all the peoples of Chile, including the native nations." The new constitution will replace the one inherited from Augusto Pinochet's dictatorship, blamed for the social inequalities that sparked deadly protests in 2019. IMAGES AND SOUNDBITES
