In his latest drama, Palme d'Or contender "The Restless," Belgian director Joachim Lafosse presents a heartbreaking portrait of a family reeling from the father's case of bipolar disorder, as the the couple do their best to protect their child. "At some point, within this couple and this family, they only see the bipolar disorder," Lafosse explains during a press conference at Cannes. But Damien, the main character, "is not just a bipolar - he's a painter, he's a father, he's a lover."
