Cyprus President Nicos Anastasiades attends a memorial service for the fallen during the Turkish invasion 47 years ago, as Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan visits the self-declared Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) to mark the occasion. On July 20, 1974, Turkish troops invaded northern Cyprus in response to a coup aimed at attaching the country to Greece. IMAGES
