As virus infections surge in the Japanese capital, IOC communications director Mark Adams warns "there can never be zero risk, but we have reduced it as far as we think is humanly possible". Kirsty Coventry, chair of the IOC's athletes commission, insists it's not going to rock the boat days before the trouble Games kick off.
