Belarusian opposition leader Svetlana Tikhanovskaya says she is asking the United States to enact more sanctions against the regime of Alexander Lukashenko as well as businesses during a visit to Washington. "We know and we understand that only Belarusian themselves can bring the country to democratic changes, but we hope for American active and non-symbolic participation," Tikhanovskaya tells a roundtable of the State Department Correspondents' Association.
