Some 200 people held a demonstration against the "health pass" in front of the Senate in Paris on Thursday. Protesters consider the newly introduced system to be a "serious attack on our public freedoms" and to create "inequality between citizens". The French government's strategy to contain the current fourth wave of cases is based on the introduction of a "health pass" system that requires people to show proof of vaccination or a negative test when entering public venues.
