White House Principal Deputy Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre says that companies implementing vaccine requirements for their employees have the "flexibility to do that." At her briefing in Washington, Jean-Pierre also says that the federal government sees itself as a "model" to other companies ahead of remarks by US President Joe Biden where he announced that federal employees must prove vaccination or face rigorous testing and masking mandates.
