Description
Three firefighters. One Lebanese family. A year's worth of restless nights. It's been 12 months since a monster explosion ripped through Beirut, killing scores including Karlen Hitti's husband, brother and cousin -- but not one culprit has been jailed, tried or identified. The victims' families have received no visit, apology or explanation from the top authorities -- pushing them to their wits end in their struggle to find justice. "We have nothing left to lose. We're ready to get the truth with our bare hands," Hitti told AFP. "We're ready to go to their homes and bring them out by force to be held to account. Because those who did this to our loved ones... Those who made us gather them up in pieces and bury them twice deserve no less than the gallows." IMAGES AND SOUNDBITES ARRANGED IN SEQUENCES
