Karate is due to make its Olympic debut at Tokyo 2020 on Thursday, and it will be a unique opportunity for France's Steven Da Costa, one of the world's leading karatekas. It will also be Da Costa's only shot at Olympic gold, since karate will no longer be on the programme when his country hosts the Paris Olympics in 2024. IMAGES AND SOUNDBITES
