Description
Abourma, in northern Djibouti, is one of the most important rock art sites in the Horn of Africa. This region has a rich archaeological heritage, and is known as the "cradle of humankind". The rock engravings are specifically interesting as they show animals that no longer live in this region - an indication of how the environment changed over the past 7000 years.
