Residents queue to get vaccinated as Bangladesh starts a countrywide mass inoculation campaign in thousands of its villages to battle a major Covid-19 surge. The vaccination drive, which involves 14,000 health centres, starts on Saturday, as a nationwide lockdown in place since July 1 continues. Across the country, hundreds of thousands of people arrived in the temporary centres as short-staffed healthcare workers and law enforcers were struggling to maintain social distancing.
