Security is increased at the Red Fort in New Delhi on August 12, from where PM Modi will address the nation on India's Independence Day on August 15. Police erected a wall of shipping containers at the entrance of the fort while also sweeping and sealing the entire area. The increased security measures come after protesting farmers breached barricades and swarmed the 400-year-old World Heritage-listed Red Fort raising religious and farm union flags on Republic Day in January this year.
