Description
Around a hundred protesters march on Government House to demand the resignation of Thai Prime Minister, General Prayut Chan-o-cha, as well as access to mRNA vaccines as the kingdom suffers its worst outbreak - with officially more than 20,000 cases daily in the past weeks.
Amid stiff anti-government sentiment, protesters have clashed several times with riot police recent weeks.
The protesters changed their plan to march on the Prime Minister’s residence and instead headed towards the office of General Prayut Chan-o-cha where riot police used tear gas, rubber bullets and water cannon to disperse the crowd. The protesters, chanting “Prayut get out” threw rocks, used slingshots to shoot firecrackers at the police and destroyed a police booth. IMAGES
