Description
In the small cemetery of Montévrain in the Paris suburbs, standing in front of his son's grave, Joël Le Pahun is visibly furious. His son Julien, who died exactly thirteen years ago, was killed with nine other French soldiers in the Uzbeen ambush in Afghanistan. "We have 89 French soldiers, including my son, who died for nothing," he says, adding that Afghanistan is now "in the hands of savages" who are going to turn it into "a den of international terrorism."
