As covid infections soar in French Polynesia, Papeete hospital's intensive care unit - the only one for 280,000 inhabitants - is crumbling under the pressure, despite a slight drop in cases in recent days. While the hospital has converted many of its wards into Covid wards, they don't have the staff to operate all the units.
