Description
As she campaigns in the sparsely populated northern Quebec ahead of parliamentary elections next week, Lise Kistabish has a message for Canada's marginalized indigenous people: she will make their concerns heard. The 54-year-old indigenous community organizer has been traveling thousands of kilometers to meet with voters in the electoral district of Abitibi-Baie-James-Nunavik-Eeyou, where indigenous people make up 38 percent of eligible voters.
