The Philippines, one of the world’s biggest exporters of healthcare workers, is facing a shortage of nurses willing to work in its hospitals as the country battles record coronavirus infections.
In a public hospital in Binan city in Laguna, near Manila, a car park was turned into a Covid ward and tents were set up to treat patients. Many of the nurses are sick or in quarantine.
