A protest in Kabul calling on Afghanistan’s neighbours to do more to help people fleeing the country was cancelled at the last minute. This is the latest event to be called off after the Islamist militants banned protests in early September. Speaking near the Pakistan embassy in the capital, where the demonstration was due to take place, civil activist Zohra Amiri and Roya Afghaniar called on fellow Muslim countries to open their borders.
