September 12, 1958 Original script: The ninth annual Ocean Beach Day o fun celebration is underway these days. Top event last night was the crowning of Shelley Raffner as queen of the pageant. She's a graduate of Point Loma High School. The four day community event includes a parade, a parade Sunday afternoon and a Miss Ocean Beach contest. That parade will be 79 units and will begin at two o'clock at the Ocean Beach athletic field, West Point Loma Blvd and Bacon street. Meantime the youngsters are having a gay time with the ferris wheel, rides and other things at the carnival.
