Description
Most of our film from the 1950s and 60s is silent so this is a real treat--literally music to the ears. It's in remarkable condition. This is practice for a performance that evening, August 19, 1958 at the Balboa Park Bowl. Beethoven's Missa Solemnis was conducted by Roger Wagner. Accompanying the orchestra was a 300 voice chorus and soloists Marilyn Horne, Katherine Hilgenberg, Robert Oliver and Richard Robinson.
