China on Friday condemned a visit by a group of French senators to Taiwan, accusing the delegation of undermining relations between Paris and Beijing. It also warned the US of recognising the "high sensitivity" of the Taiwan situation and "serious harm" of its actions, as an official said US special operations forces have been quietly training Taiwanese troops for months, and expressed ‘serious concerns’ about the US submarine which hit an unknown object in the South China Sea.
