Description
"We can assume that the victims were resting or sleeping directly on the track," says Bayonne prosecutor Jérôme Bourrier after the death of three migrants, probably of Algerian nationality, who were mowed down by a train around 5:00 am near the station of Saint-Jean-de-Luz in southwestern France. "There is a strong police presence at the border which means that many migrants try to take more discreet routes," adds the mayor of Ciboure, the town where the accident took place.
