Russia's actions show that Vladimir Putin's country wants "to prevent the realization of a Europe that's whole, free and at peace", US Secretary of Defense Lloyd J. Austin III says during a visit to Romania. Pentagon chief Austin is on a diplomatic tour of various Black Sea countries to discuss confronting increasing Russian activity in the region, ahead of an upcoming NATO (North Atlantic Treaty Organization) meeting in Brussels.
