Sudan's military seizure of power could leave the country "potentially extremely isolated", says Alex de Waal, Executive Director of the World Peace Foundation in an online interview with AFP, the day after soldiers detained Prime Minister Abdalla Hamdok, his ministers and civilian members of the ruling council who had been heading the transition to full civilian rule following the 2019 overthrow of Omar al-Bashir.
