Description
A British furniture maker undertakes an epic 300-mile (482.8 km) pilgrimage accompanied by a 10-foot (3 metres) model polar bear named Clarion to raise awareness of climate change ahead of the United Nations COP26 climate conference in Glasgow next week. Bamber Hawes started his journey in his hometown of Bishop's Castle in Shropshire, England and aims to arrive in Glasgow in time for the start of COP26. Hawes says Clarion is a "metaphor" for the melting of the ice caps caused by global warming and for what's happening to the Earth's climate and wildlife. IMAGES AND SOUNDBITES
