A study by the OECD on the "budgetary impact" of immigration estimates that the cost of immigration is balanced by the contributions made by immigrants to public expenditure. The study also looks at the impact of the concentration of immigrants in often disadvantaged areas, with the children on average "more than a year behind" others by the age of 15.
