Description
Protesters dressed as a lump of coal and Australia's Prime Minister dance hand-in-hand as hundreds gather in Sydney to label global climate talks "a sham" and the nation's leader "an absolute embarrassment" on the world stage. "No more blah, blah blah. Real climate action now," reads one sign, held above the crowd in Sydney, while dozens more pilloried the Morrison government's climate stance amid Cop26 in Glasgow. "Our government could be doing so much more," Neda Taha, 23, told AFP in Sydney. Taha, herself from a Tongan background, said the future for people in the region was "terrifying" amid increasing natural disasters, and Morrison, who has already left the summit, had done a "terrible, terrible job".
