Victims of sexual abuse by Catholic clerics gather in front of the headquarters of the French Bishops Conference, demanding recognition and for the Catholic Church to take responsibility. A recent report by an independent commission revealed that French Catholic clergy had sexually abused around 216,000 youngsters since 1950. "For a long time, I wanted the victims to show themselves out on the streets, to show people how many of us there are, the suffering we endured," says one victim who took part in the rally.
