A lawyer for the association who brought forth the complaint in France's Elysee polling fraud trial is asking for "serious convictions" against several members of ex-president Nicolas Sarkozy's inner circle, who are charged with favouritism over polling contracts. France's National Financial Prosecutor's Office has demanded that Sarkozy's former chief of staff be sentenced to one year in prison, six months of which to be without remission.
