Images of a restaurant visited by Chinese tennis star Peng Shuai operating during the day, after videos of her eating there with her coach and friends were released by Chinese state media. Global Times newspaper editor Hu Xijin tweeted two videos of Peng at the restaurant on Saturday, the first showing Peng walking into the restaurant wearing a coat, knit cap and face mask, and the second of a maskless Peng sitting at a table chatting with people over a meal. The chat appears to be staged. Peng appears relaxed in the footage, which appears to have been taken with a mobile phone, but those with her are at pains to emphasise the date in somewhat stilted comments. International concern about Peng's well-being was spread worldwide, after her explosive claims of sexual assault by former Chinese vice premier Zhang Gaoli, which has been heavily censored on the Chinese internet.
