Images show empty arrival and departure halls at Haneda airport in Japan, after the country announced on Monday plans to bar all new foreign travellers over the Omicron variant of Covid-19.
Those who came to the airport to see off their loved ones share their mixed feelings over the restrictions.
"I am not sure when he can come back or even if he will be able to... It's really worrying," says a mother of two who saw off her husband at the airport. IMAGES AND SOUNDBITES
