Ethiopia's government claims its defence forces have made "great strides" against the Tigray People's Liberation Front (TPLF) rebel group in key areas in the country.
Press Secretary Billene Seyoum adds the government has nevertheless not changed its "principled position of a peaceful solution to this conflict." IMAGES AND SOUNDBITES
