Description
A Canadian meteorologist says record-high winter temperatures in western Canada are due to heat coming from the subtropics after Penticton, a city in central British Columbia, recorded a high temperature of 72.5 degrees Fahrenheit (22.5 degrees Celsius) on Wednesday. "Climate change... has its fingerprints over 2021 in British Columbia," Environment Canada meteorologist Armel Castellan says as the province suffered over the summer from a historic global heat dome.
