Description
The stamp merchant Stanley Gibbons, official philatelic supplier to the Queen, is offering fractional ownership of the British Guiana 1c Magenta, which it purchased for$8.3 million US dollars in April 2021. Often described as the most valuable man-made item in the world, the 1856 stamp is the only known to remain from a batch of temporary stamps that we created in a newspaper printing press when a shipment of British stamps were delayed. Shares of the stamp start at £100 pounds and include a certificate of ownership, and access to private viewings of the entire stamp. IMAGES AND SOUNDBITES
