During German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock's first visit to Poland, her Polish counterpart Zbigniew Rau says Poland expects the new German government to "be ready to take responsibility" for the Second World War and its consequences. Baerbock says the Polish-German friendship within the European Union is "priceless" and not a given after the "immeasurable losses suffered by Poland during the war and the occupation".
