Description
Sam Stone was miraculously reunited with his dog after a tornado blew the 10-month-old puppy two miles away from his house in Western Kentucky. However his house has been badly damaged, and he has no insurance. "The individuals in the community have been helping, they've been bringing food and clothes and stuff like that, but I ain't seen nobody from the government," the mechanic tells AFP. As US President Joe Biden visits tornado-ravaged Kentucky towns, the flow of aid has lagged behind in some harder to reach rural pockets in the state, although some residents do not seem to mind. "Personally, the less government I see, the better," says farmer Clifford Humphreys. IMAGES AND SOUNDBITES
