Members and supporters of Iraq's Hashed al-Shaabi ex-paramilitary alliance take part in a symbolic funeral in Baghdad's Tahrir Square, commemorating the second anniversary of the killing of 25 members of the Hashed al-Shaabi in a US bombing at Al-Qaim. In December 2019, US forces launched a deadly bombing against a Hashed faction, killing 25 fighters, which led up to thousands of Iraqi supporters of the paramilitary alliance attacking the US Embassy in Baghdad in protest the following day.
