Visiting the Alsachimie chemical plant in Chalampe, in the Haut-Rhin region in eastern France, Emmanuel Macron defends his economic reforms during his five years in office. The president, whose trip comes in lieu of a "Choose France" summit at the Elysee, lauded France's attractiveness for foreign investors, highlighting the €300 million investment by German group BASF for the construction of a new production plant on the Alsachimie site, which will create around sixty permanent jobs.
