Description
Scientists have discovered a vast reef of "pristine" rose-shaped corals apparently unharmed by climate change in deep water off the coast of Tahiti, UNESCO announced Thursday. "I was impressed by the immensity of the rose-shaped coral field, by the size of the colonies, by how perfect those coral roses were underwater and by how healthy they were," says Laetitia Hedouin, marine biologist specializing in corals at French research agency CNRS.
