Description
Azara has gone without pay since February 2021 at her street leaving job in Burkina Faso's capital. But still she goes out every morning to clean the streets of Ouagadougou with her colleagues. The town hall fired them after a strike to demand a pay rise. Today they all hope that the new government will put an end to their suffering. Azara's situation symbolises a social discontent that precipitated the fall of former president Roch Kaboré. IMAGES AND SOUNDBITES
