Description
International Olympic Committee spokesperson Mark Adams says the IOC wants to "expedite" the appeal against Russia's decision to allow Kamila Valieva to continue competing in Beijing, after Games testers confirmed she tested positive for a banned substance. The confirmation that she failed a doping test explains why the medals ceremony for the figure skating team event has not taken place. "It's very important for everybody concerned that we have due process, that it's seen to be done properly and that people can have confidence in the decisions that are taken," Adams explains, adding, "we have a 100 percent policy against doping."
