France is preparing to excavate unmarked graves in the south where dozens of infants and children of Harkis -- Algerians who fought for France in their country's independence war -- are buried. "There were disgraceful practices (...), which must be recognised as failings of the state," French Minister for Veterans' Affairs, Geneviève Darrieussecq, tells AFP. IMAGES AND SOUNDBITES
