Description
International Olympic Committee spokesperson Mark Adams says in a daily press conference that he believes that the pandemic could be to blame for the delay in doping results. "I had understood -- but I would like to get this confirmed -- that there were some issues around Covid," he explains. The International Testing Agency said in a statement on Friday that the World Anti-Doping Agency-accredited laboratory in Stockholm only reported that 15-year-old Russian figure skater Kamila Valieva had returned a positive case on February 8 -- the day after she competed in Beijing.
