Description
White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki says "Russian military forces are in an attack position" on the Ukrainian border and that they are "capable of operationalizing at any point in time" but notes that the United States is "seeing adjustments by President Putin" in response to the sanctions announced. US President Joe Biden earlier announced that the United States will join Germany in imposing sanctions on the Russian Nord Stream 2 natural gas pipeline project in retaliation for Moscow's military pressure against Ukraine in addition to an initial set of sanctions against two Russian banks and the country's wealthy elite announced earlier this week.
